GREAT HORNED OWL

The owl is now considered a "brancher", which means, in the wild, the owl would be out of the nest and wandering off to sit on various branches in the tree. This gives it the chance to learn owl behavior by watching the adults. It still cannot fly. Photo taken 7/8/01.
